I never thought in the wildest of my dreams that I would be organising a half marathon running event ever in my life. But then, HE has HIS own plans...
One of the biggest and most complicated projects that I handled in the last few years - also turned out to be such a wonderfully executed one. - TREE-A-THON 2019. With the motto of You Run - We Plant, this half marathon running event provided a throw back of learnings for me...the most important ones being listed here.

Tree-a-thon Running event by Kalpavriksha - a first of its kind !

Kalpavriksha has been blessed, it seems! 

Each year since our inception in 2016, we have been doubling our trees planted, maintained and tracked.

But this year, in 2019, we aim to take an even bigger leap, via  our first ever 'Tree-a-thon' sponsored by none other than Radisson Blu.

A century of Donors, Maiden Award and Much More at Kalpavriksha

It is so important to keep moving. When you show courage to move ahead, milestones are created and achieved on the way ! That is what is precisely happening at our Tree Plantation NGO - Kalpavriksha, as we just completed a century of donors, were recently facilitated by Indian Medical Association (IMA), and are inching closer to 1,000 trees. We know there are many more milestones to come along, as we march selflessly towards our mission of 1 Million+ Trees.

It has been an awesome journey of meeting some of the best friends on the way to trying to change the environment around us. 200 Trees Up for Kalpavriksha !

Dreams do come true. If one is passionate and working for a right cause, HE is always going to be with you.
Post my Financial Freedom, I started my NGO 'Kalpavriksha' with a mission to plant 1 Million trees. In our first year of operations in 2016, we had planted 25 trees. In spite of my best efforts, almost half of them couldn't survive until the next year. I learnt from my mistakes and decided to build a bigger team, with a very robust process framework. 
Soon, passionate individuals started to join in. We took a target of planting and nurturing 200 trees by the end of this year (2017). We achieved the target just a few days back - and that too with a survival rate of 98%+. Read more..

Kalpavriksha - Beyond our Neighbourhood !

Kalpavriksha goes beyond the Janak Puri district. In a first for us, two volunteers from Hari Nagar district approached us for tree plantation and we did the needful, with glee. We cannot thank enough to our biggest individual contributors : Shwesh Rehani and Mukesh Kathuria - though each small contribution had its own impact.
