14 Fabulous Life Lesson from the Netflix Series 'Breaking Bad'

This is just our 2nd attempt at publishing lessons from a documentary or a television series. But learning is everywhere, and we must continue to evolve with changing times.

For those who have missed out reading some of our posts which captured lessons from some of the best-selling books, they can click here to read the book lessons.

Let's get it rolling.

ABOUT THE SERIES

TitleBreaking Bad

DurationA total of 62 episodes spread across 5 seasons.

ProviderNetflix

Synopsis
This is the story of an underpaid, overqualified, and dispirited high school chemistry teacher who is struggling with a recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer. White turns to a life of crime, partnering with his former student, by producing and distributing crystal meth to secure his family's financial future before he dies, while navigating the dangers of the criminal underworld.

LESSONS FROM THE SERIES
So, here are the top lessons that I learned from this series.
Read them slowly and try to see if you wish to imbibe one or more of them in your lives.

1/ We may not be raised that way, but it is just fine to lean on people around you, for help in extreme situations.

2/ In tough situations, you got to find a way to just hang in there, again and again, keep placing your bets again and again. You never know. Luck is extremely volatile.

3/ Choosing to just survive longer may not be the goal of everyone's life. Let them choose the life they want to live.

4/ When there is no fear of death, you can transform yourself much faster. Fear hinders transformation.

5/ People sometimes do things for their families which may be socially or legally unacceptable.

6/ Throwing in the towel is not an option, it is never an option.

7/ Biggest issue with everyone's life is the fear of trying new things.

8/ Self-hatred, or guilt accomplishes nothing. It just stands in the way of true change. Just identify the issue within you, and practice change.

9/ Facing death changes a person - forever.

10/ Fear is not an effective long-term motivator.

11/ A man provides for his family, even if he is not appreciated, or loved, or respected. He bears it all and still provides - because he is a man.

12/ Life changes, everything changes even when we repeat the same thing - each read of the book, every single day, every sexual interaction is a different experience every time.

13/ Life comes with a death sentence. Live every day as a bonus day for you,  ready to pack up as soon as the call comes. As long as you are alive, live as if you are in charge.

14/ Secrets create barriers between people.  All that you have done is a part of you.
